About Fatema Begum Popy
Fatema Begum Popy has been working at Department of Education in Noakhali Science and Technology University since 2018. Her specialization areas are education, special education, inclusive education, early childhood care and development, early childhood education, pre-primary and primary education, teachers education, play-based learning, educational change and pedagogical reform, equity and inclusion in education and teacher preparation. Fatema has vast experience of consultancy in the areas of specifically focusing on special education, equity and inclusion, early childhood care and development. Fatema has conducted numbers of research studies on education and published more than 6 research papers in different national and international journals and participated numbers of national and international conferences. Fatema has completed her Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Dhaka in 2014 with CGPA 3.93 out of 4. University of Dhaka is the top renowned public university of Bangladesh which is popularly known as "Oxford of the East". Before that, in 2013 she completed her Bachelor of Education (four years honors) in Special Education with CGPA 3.92 out of 4 from the same university. For her outstanding academic and co-curricular activities, she has been awarded with 2 prestigious gold medals which are: i) Highest prestigious academic ‘Chancellor’s Gold Medal Award’ from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh for achieving the highest GPA in undergraduate programs at the Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka; ii) Shamsun Nahar Mahmud Foundation Gold Medal (2013), University of Dhaka for outstanding result in undergraduate programs (Bachelor of Education -Honors) and active participation in different co-curricular activities.
